Mary E. McDowell CPS
MR. DAVIS
Hello! My name is Dr. Vince Davis, Jr. and I am the Technology Coordinator for Mary E. McDowell School. I have served in many capacities at McDowell School. I began my career as a Special Education Classroom Assistant under the leadership of Dr. Walker. In 2017, Dr. Hood along with the leadership team granted me the rights and privileges as the new Technology Coordinator of McDowell School. For many years staff members would often refer to me as “Music Director”.
Growing up I was often called a musical prodigy. I began my musical journey playing trumpet, drums, piano, and organ in church. I continued my musical journey by attending Columbia College in Chicago. During my many years of musical success, I have shared the stage with many national recording artists. These artists included Pastor Hezekiah Walker, Dr. Richard Smallwood, Jonathan McReynolds, Donald Lawrence, Pastor Christopher Harris, Dr. Walt Whitman, Meghan Trainor, and Robert Kelly just to name a few.
Today I hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Services with a concentration in Children and Family Services from the University of Phoenix and Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Technology from Concordia University. On January 31, 2024, at 8:35 pm, I completed my oral defense and now hold an Ed.D in Educational Leadership from Northcentral University. I am also a proud life member of the greatest fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
When I am not working at the school I enjoy watching sports, swinging at the golf range, hanging out with my family and friends, watering my grass, learning about black history and of course working on music.
