HELLO Parents,

My name is Ms. Fountain. I am excited to be the school counselor and art teacher for McDowell students. I want to take some time to introduce myself to you. I have been teacher for Chicago Public Schools for 36 years (no doubt I may have taught some of you.) In my spare time I like to draw, paint, read and sew or visit to new places.
 

I was born and raised in Chicago where attended McCosh and Stagg elementary schools. I attended Calumet High School for my secondary education. I received a Bachelor of Arts from Bradley University. Later I obtained a Master in Library and Information Science, as well as a Master in School Counseling from Chicago State University. I enjoy teaching and seeing young people grow as they learn.

 

I am most proud of being the mother of two sons and the grandmother of four grandchildren. I look forward to traveling on this journey with you and your child (children) as we adapt to our new norm.
